Overview

The Council’s “Technology Trends” Cluster is focused on technology related topics which are (or should be) of greatest interest to the CTO, and frequently the CEO, of technology organizations. Each program typically includes presentations by four or five experts in the area with ample time set aside for participant questions and lively discussion.

The Technology Trends Cluster Organizing Committee will be meeting on a regular basis and be open to member CTOs. The Organizing Committee convenes 2-3 breakfast briefings per year where industry experts discuss the latest issues and are available for general Q&A from the audience.

Past sessions have included:

  • Application Aggregation - Mashups, Real Time Data, Legacy Apps and Beyond  
  • Standards, featuring a discussion of the rapidly accelerating importance of standards.
  • Evolving Web Tools, featuring executives from Blogbridge, DLA Piper, The Otter Group, Renesys, Software Garden, and the Yankee Group.
  • Mobile Computing - Trends and Opportunities, featuring executives from Candide Media Works, General Catalyst Partners, International Data Corp, JumpTap, and m-Qube.
  • Embedded Software - It's Everywhere, In Everything, featuring executives from Converged Access, and Venture Development Corporation
